    1. Maintain physical health. It's the one factor of my life I have control over that completely dictates my happiness.
    2. Build a pretty home with a wrap around porch.
    3. Open a cat rescue on my property. (Childhood goal that seems out of reach now but who knows what the future holds.)
    4. Visit Japan and visit the Bahamas or Jamaica or Aruba or IDK somewhere tropical 🌴🥥

Things are really up in there air for me right now. There's a chance my neurological condition might make my chosen career path unrealistic in the long term, so goals related to that are kind of in limbo right now and I'm a bit lost while I wait for answers.

Outside of a career, been struggling to find something where I feel like I'm a net positive and feel fulfilled by my contributions.

Get my other health issues and injuries under control enough that I can get back on the fitness train.

Just following up on this after about a third of the year.

After some testing, it seems the issues I was having are not related to my neurological condition, so career is no longer under thread, but I did still lose my job. So the big thing right now is to find something that pays the bills and has good health insurance and hopefully sucks even a little less soul out of me than my last job.

Still on the quest to find something new that meets that second bullet point, it's been a huge focus of mine, but it's easier said than done.

Third one is a work in progress.

Been another third of the year.

Things are going okay. Every interview I've had ends with a "we're actually not hiring right now, at least at your level, but it's good to be in touch". But none of them are things that would make me feel fulfilled, anyway, so it's hard to care beyond the promise of good health benefits.

idk i'm really high right now and probably should be replying to this thread lol, but really my goal is still to find anything that i care about to which i can contribute and be part of again

the fitness related bullet point is a two steps forward one step back dealio right now

I used to think I had to go to therapy and get treated for my depression, so I could do all the things I wanted. I used to believe all those things were unattainable because I had no motivation, or strive, and sit at home moping about the fact I couldn't do them. I realized I am holding myself back, and am going to try and do kind of a reverse psychology on myself, if that makes sense? I want to try and be happy by doing the things I want, and setting realistic goals for myself. Hopefully, it works and I don't spiral back into nothing. I just moved so a realistic goal I have is to find a job, and cut out sugar!!

    Unsolicited Update:
    ̶1̶.̶ ̶F̶i̶n̶i̶s̶h̶ ̶w̶r̶i̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶m̶y̶ ̶v̶o̶w̶s̶
    2. Take the GMAT
    3. Apply for my P.Eng
    4̶.̶ ̶B̶u̶y̶ ̶a̶ ̶H̶o̶u̶s̶e̶

Probably won't end up taking the GMAT anymore - pursuing an MBA has marginal impact on my income and the tuition is pretty steep. I'm still dragging my feet on the P.Eng application.

    1. Marriage, if the relationship allows for it at any rate.
    2. Become a "real" artist. By that I mean working for an actual company and doing official artworks for them. The dream is something in the video game industry, but I'll take doing illustrations for children's books or something similar as well.
    3. Get my health back. I've thankfully dodged covid this whole time, but other issues with my health have cropped up and it's caused my body to begin falling apart in some ways. Working with my doctor to find what is wrong has been an uphill battle.
