They began restructuring the discord and closed down the Spanish & Portugese channels. When people questioned why, they said that it’s a standard in gaming communities for English to be the only language spoken (causal xenophobia, ya know).

This bit is especially baffling considering a huge portion of the neopets fanbase is and always has been PT/BR. Zero idea why anyone considered closing those down a good idea

I'm so glad I decided that joining a non-official version of Neopets wasn't a good idea and not something I should waste my time on. I had no idea about the corruption and rampant racism, but knowing what I do now, I 100% dodged a bullet.
