Security Questions upon Sign Up!
I tried creating a new account. They now ask you to put up answers for two security questions. Seems like you can't make your own questions. There's a set of questions provided.
Is this new?

Hmm, I think it must be. I made an account a couple of months ago and didn't have to have security questions.

Oh this is interesting. Going to make it a lot more difficult for people to send tickets in for accounts that aren't theirs. I like it.
I agree. It definitely a step it the right direction security-wise. Wonder if we all will need to set up these questions on our existing accounts.

They really should note that it is important to write down your security question answers though, in case you pick a question that has ambiguous answers without thinking...

What I find funny about it is, the new post says that the security questions will be "added to existing accounts soon"... um... when is soon, exactly?

Yeah, I was surprised when you said that it was added last November 2020. It is almost two years already in a few months.
Is this only for new account that get created now? Does this effect older accounts that we haven't logged into for a long time at all? :0 I'm not surprised that they've gone down this route after the breach.

Omg..... I wish they had this all along, this is the kind of thing that would have actually gotten me back into my long-lost account.
Can't believe it's almost two years old though, WOOF!!! Guess we can expect to see it on our accounts in ten more years, maybe?
