I don't think they even tried on these. It looks like a set of clothing. I really was hoping for something more elegant and exciting for the royal girl but I guess not. Where is the royal on these designs? I don't see it!

I think it's meant to be some kind of Norwegian jarl. Those didn't wear fancy royal attire like the other European monarchies.

They should have made something extra to the feathers, like those extravagant birds with huge feathers and colors and patterns

Now that you mention it, it makes sense, but if it wasn't for the helmet, they look like a medieval squire.
I know absolutely nothing about Norway but they lacked effort. Where is my Lagertha? :c

Wow yikes, these are so underwhelming. I didn't even realize these were a pet color, and thought they were just displaying some clothes. I care more about the base pet than the clothing on pets, disappointed that a real bird take wasn't done with these like christmas and spotted. Falcon coloring of some sort would have gone well with the medieval theme.

They looks like the outfits released on the pet day instead of a new color because it feels like those clothes are simply put on a random vanda instead of a completed royal design. Lots of pre-conversion royals have lot of thoughts in them like peophins, hissi, bori, are the post-conversion royals as well but they are still beautiful. Royal Ogrin were released this year, too, and looks far better than those

I don't know why are those staffs so thin and tiny, too. Super thin structures is usually something the concept artists avoid/what art director ask you to avoid when you designing props, especially when vandas are kind of in a thick and straight wood log shape and contrast them more.

The pastel colors are cute but I feel like basically there is not much difference? It's kinda simple for me.

I am not sure what it is but I like the Royal girl a lot more than I like the boy. It's something in the eyes. I like the pastel and kinda watercolor look.

First impressions are.. meh. I feel like they look like basic colors just wearing a NC set. Which I guess is kind of how post-conversion royals work but the base colors aren't exciting.

I actualy see your point here. The pet colours are basic but the clothings are great
