Anybody here play online poker anywhere? I have a few friends that got into it over covid lockdown and are now starting to get into local tournaments and make some prize money.
I’ve played a few times but always seem to get discouraged after losing heavily to what I thought was a really strong hand.

is it normal to keep losing in poker? or it's just i'm too skilless in this game?

I think that’s definitely normal especially when you’re learning or not very experienced.
You’re more likely to have a bad hand than a good hand and the more players there are on the table the more likely at least 1 of them has something that can beat you.
I’ve watched a few YouTube videos about poker Burt a lot of them are about physical poker and picking up tells which you can’t really do with online poker.

I’ve never played for money at all. Mostly because I know that I’d lose it extremely quickly. I tend to go very hard on hands when I get a good hand and think more about my hand than what other people could have that can beat it.
I also find it a bit difficult trying to judge what kind of hands people have online.
Physical poker is a bit easier as you’ve got body language and whatnot but all you’ve got to go on in online poker is essentially action speed and consistency. It’s hard.
