2022 clraik Pokémon Showdown

Who doesn't love a cK event!? Who doesn't like Pokémon!? It's time for the annual clraik Pokémon Showdown event! This year I would love to announce my awesome co-host @(you need an account to see links)! @(you need an account to see links) is very knowledgeable with Pokémon Showdown and can be an amazing resource during this event. Tournament Sign-Ups will run JULY 9th-16th to allow everyone to see the thread and have heads up to practice.
Tournament Playoffs will run JULY 17th-24th.
Tournament Semi-Finals & Finals will run JULY 25th-31st or until the final bracket has been completed.


Pokémon is a strategy game, so it's recommended that you practice against real people through Showdown and learn the weaknesses of other Pokémon if you are planning on earning a high placing. RULES:
The teams will be up to YOU to pick your 6 Pokémon that comply with [GEN 8] OU Rules. You may change your team ONCE during the tournament to improve or drop dead weight. Any additional changes are prohibited, so please build your team wisely. Battle format is 6v6.

PROHIBITED MOVES & POKEMON:
-Evasive Moves
-Sleeping Moves
-Melmetal

*anyone using prohibited moves or Pokémon will forfeit their match*

There will be a 'Validate' button at the top of the format team menu to see if your team complies with [GEN 8] OU.

+ You are to battle your opponent one or three times (you can determine this among whoever you are battling against before beginning your first match) here: (you need an account to see links). The losers of the each semifinals will battle to determine the 3rd place participant.

+ You are to play a [GEN 8] OU Battle.

+ On the bottom left corner of the page, there is a button labeled 'Find a User' and this is how you challenge your opponent.

+ Your Pokemon Showdown username needs to resemble your cK username, if not match it. This is because replays of your battle will be required so it will be easier for me to decipher who is who.

+ At the end of a battle and underneath the battle screen, some options come up. In order to get your battle replay, look at the image:


+ Once you have your battle replay one person from the match is to post it here on the (you need an account to see links)

+ All battles must be completed within 48hours of the match date. This is to ensure the tournament continues to progress in a timely fashion. Any unplayed battles will require proof that someone continually tried to get their opponent to play, otherwise both players will be eliminated.
