Reporting UCs for the purpose of getting a replica?

A friend of mine had a pet with an inappropriate name, ticketed it, they didn't do a replica. They traded the pet, and the new owner ticketed it, and was granted a replica. Sometimes it really comes down to who you get, or maybe the frequency of the reports.

I traded for a pet a while ago with a very inappropriate name to try see how the replica pet thing worked.
I sent a ticket and Alice replied the same day - said that the pet was inappropriately named AND compromised - so all that happened was that I got the pet I traded for it back and that pet got chain reversed and then frozen.
So wasn't worth it at all in the end.
