I loooooove the Coraline movie, Henry Selick and LAIKA are masterful, but I do really hate the addition of Wybie.

I always forget that Coraline was a book first, so I had no idea that Wybie wasn't a part of it. Its a great movie though. A good old emo kid classic.

Yeah! The book is wonderful. It's actually another book I lent to somebody and never got back and I'm a bit sad about not having my original copy. It's pretty loyal to the book but the addition of Wybie is the biggest one. It just bothers me because I feel like it undermines how her own resourcefulness and how she saves herself. There was a good Lost In Adaptation on it, but looks like it got taken down years ago. I really like the book. It's one of the few things (and only I can think of off the top of my head) that seem to get creepier when you're older. (you need an account to see links)

I read the hunger games after the I watched the movies

It actually made the books easier to read in my opinion because I could visualize where I was.

I love the movies. I also love the books.

Ok so this may be controversial but The Princess Bride.
Don't get it twisted the book is incredible but there's something so special and magical about the cast of the movie that really brought the story to life and added charm and humor that has made it one of the best movies ever made imo.

Me toooo I loved the book but the movies are so good.

I kinda feel that way about LoTR too! They were huge books for me as a kid and inspired so much of my current fantasy love, but I love the movies for 1. making it more accessible to everyone, and 2. giving me some of the coolest big fantasy battle scenes that really did the books justice.

I really loved the newest "IT" movies. The book, not so much. That thing is SO dense and has some specific parts that are super questionable at best. If you've read it, you know what I mean. The newer 80's setting, music choices, cast, and character relationships were very good in the movie.

Alright now I just discovered Cloudy with a chance of meatballs and Shrek were books, that's bad on me xd

What comes to my mind right now is Legally Blonde, I liked how Reese portrayed Elle Woods
