It's Summertime!

It's finally summer time!
(at least for those of us in the northern hemisphere!)



So, I want to know...

What is your favourite thing to do in the summer? Are you a total beach bum? Lake lifer? How do you like to stay cool? Popsicles, ice cream, good old fashioned AC?
Maybe you have a favourite memory from the summer time? I wanna hear about it!

I will go first!

As a kid, we would always go to the outdoor waterslide park in June at the end of the school year. We would stay all day until we were EXHAUSTED. There was this one slide that was super scary to me, it was really fast, had big drops and was in pitch black. I remember the year I turned 12, I was FINALLY brave enough to go down it by myself. So I did, and it was a blast! Once it was time to leave, we'd get a twist (chocolate and vanilla swirled) soft serve ice cream cone.

Pink berry though?? Also IDK if it was widespread but we had a yogenfruz (with an umlaut over the u) kiosk at my mall YEARS ago and it was honestly super good; they had like blocks of frozen fruit they would run through the yogurt machine fresh and it was super thick and creamy and nice and tart. I don't like the more sugary and watery consistency froyos that I feel are pretty common at places like Sweet Frog

We had tons of Pink Berry and Yogurtland where I was living. I only ever tried Yogurtland though because they had little popping boba to put in it and I was obsessed.

anyone else for Dairy Queen? do these even exist outside of Texas, I have no idea?? I was obsessed with the cotton candy dipped cone they had for a minute, what is it about the color blue that makes things taste better

On the subject of summer time and treats... has anyone tried those mini ice cream cones from Trader Joes? They are so good, the cone is so crispy... I want one... or two or three...

Last night I finished off some Ben & Jerry's Half Baked, my favorite is the Jimmy Fallon one though. They pack so many flavors in to that brand. XD

My favorite ice cream brand in general is Tillamook, though. I go through periods where I really want ice cream vs times where it feels like a chore to eat it...

We have Dairy Queen here on the West Coast, I think it is is a national chain My brother and I used to get Dilly Bars when we were younger. I have not been in a long time, sometimes after band concerts and pep rallies we would go as a big group in high school but I usually did not have a lot of money so I would either not get anything or get something small. I would try out all the different Blizzard flavors (chocolate ones... lol)

I believe an old friend of mine's family took us out to Dairy Queen a few times too
