It's finally summer time!
(at least for those of us in the northern hemisphere!)
So, I want to know...
What is your favourite thing to do in the summer? Are you a total beach bum? Lake lifer? How do you like to stay cool? Popsicles, ice cream, good old fashioned AC?
Maybe you have a favourite memory from the summer time? I wanna hear about it!
I will go first!
As a kid, we would always go to the outdoor waterslide park in June at the end of the school year. We would stay all day until we were EXHAUSTED. There was this one slide that was super scary to me, it was really fast, had big drops and was in pitch black. I remember the year I turned 12, I was FINALLY brave enough to go down it by myself. So I did, and it was a blast! Once it was time to leave, we'd get a twist (chocolate and vanilla swirled) soft serve ice cream cone.

Iced coffee for me! Every day, rain or shine, heat wave or snow! The cooking is understandable but it does get frustrating when food is a necessity... nobody can live off of just salads and cold food for that long, at least I cannot... I love hearty meals. x)
On that one I agree, frappuccinos are my weakness 💜
I imagine there is a limit tough for salads haha, but cheer up just a bit more for summer to end!!

It's like the 3rd time i plant them because first time my Lady cat ate them, then winter killed them, now i'm overprotecting my new children hahaha
I hope it works! I have been told i could get them to grow around my house like that and i'm excited about it! A couple years inside the house for them to grow strong and they will be waiting for moths and bees on their second summer!

I've never heard of lupinus before. A search shows they're in the legume family? I'd love to see a meadow full of them in real life, they're really pretty. :o

Your Lupinus field would be so beautiful! I don't know if I've ever seen Lupinus in the wild myself but they look a bit like our local Bluebonnets. My dad's house is in a rural area and the back meadow is full of Bluebonnets and Indian Paintbrushes, looks a lot like this -
they're more of a springtime thing though. Summer is the time for sunflowers to reign supreme among our windflowers.

@(you need an account to see links) @(you need an account to see links) the seeds do look like lentils! And grow very fast and are edible too as Lupin Beans! I don't think the one i'm planting is the one you can eat, but probably could produce them if they grow big enough!
