It's Summertime!

It's finally summer time!
(at least for those of us in the northern hemisphere!)



So, I want to know...

What is your favourite thing to do in the summer? Are you a total beach bum? Lake lifer? How do you like to stay cool? Popsicles, ice cream, good old fashioned AC?
Maybe you have a favourite memory from the summer time? I wanna hear about it!

I will go first!

As a kid, we would always go to the outdoor waterslide park in June at the end of the school year. We would stay all day until we were EXHAUSTED. There was this one slide that was super scary to me, it was really fast, had big drops and was in pitch black. I remember the year I turned 12, I was FINALLY brave enough to go down it by myself. So I did, and it was a blast! Once it was time to leave, we'd get a twist (chocolate and vanilla swirled) soft serve ice cream cone.

Same girl same! I way prefer looking like a crazy person wearing a sweater in the office during the middle of the summer than being a gross sweaty smelly mess in public 😂

real talk though WHY do fucking office buildings blast the AC during the summer like they have some kind of quota to fill I feel like it's a wide running joke that women specifically are victimized by office building AC lmao #teamcardigan

Our office is part of a big shared offices space, and every office has like, glass walls. So every time I walk around and peek inside of other companies offices I always see the women with some kind of warm clothes while all the man are in shorts and t-shirts

For me it's the other way around... I really can't handle the cold...
It's not too bad in the AC, it just feels weird I need to wear an extra something when it's so hot outside lol

Speaking of being victimized by AC this shit happens in my own fucking house! 💀 I live with 3 other people and I spend most of my time in the basement where, due to heat rising, it is objectively the coolest. The people who mainly stay on the upper floors like to blast the AC and I'm deadass shivering in a sweatshirt and joggers downstairs when it's like 85+ degrees outside. PLEASE DON'T TURN ME INTO A REAL HUMAN POPSICLE

Well, I also was in a very cold weather that no matter how many layers I had on it didn't help, so this argument isn't the best in my case I'm really bad with the cold. And I rarely ever feel unbearably hot. The human body has better cooling systems than warming systems.

Damn we are the exact opposite!! I love the cold. I feel like there’s nothing better than cozying up in a sweater or blanket to keep warm but the feeling of being hot and trying desperately to get cool is extremely uncomfortable for me. I also LOVE sleeping with a fan on because I like to keep my feet cold haha

Except for when I've had places without air conditioning, I will keep my place slightly too cold because I can't stand being too warm and a blanket is cozy!

I totally agree, I love any excuse to get cozy with sweaters and blankies and a warm cat on top of me! When i'm too hot it's all about being sweaty and "please, nothing touch me, i am a husk of a human "
