It's Summertime!

It's finally summer time!
(at least for those of us in the northern hemisphere!)



So, I want to know...

What is your favourite thing to do in the summer? Are you a total beach bum? Lake lifer? How do you like to stay cool? Popsicles, ice cream, good old fashioned AC?
Maybe you have a favourite memory from the summer time? I wanna hear about it!

I will go first!

As a kid, we would always go to the outdoor waterslide park in June at the end of the school year. We would stay all day until we were EXHAUSTED. There was this one slide that was super scary to me, it was really fast, had big drops and was in pitch black. I remember the year I turned 12, I was FINALLY brave enough to go down it by myself. So I did, and it was a blast! Once it was time to leave, we'd get a twist (chocolate and vanilla swirled) soft serve ice cream cone.

want to buy a tent trailer when I can afford it, bes tof both worlds. A tent and a trailer! its perfect!

We have gone through the evolution of tent to tent trailer to trailer haha we sold our trailer last year and we don't know what to do now. Do we revert back to the bottom at tent? I sure do love having a bathroom to camp. No late night outhouse pees for this lady. I do like using a tent trailer as is it the best of both worlds and with the price of gas who can afford to pull a trailer now!? At least tent trailers are light! We are looking to rent a tent trailer for a next trip to test the waters on if we can go back to that.

Same though! Are they supposed to be pronounced differently? I imagine all the British colonies probably say it like this too

ho ho ho, summertime calls for pizza!! my sister bought a portable stone oven to try making some pizza this evening. i can tell you it's a work in progress. it cooked pretty evenly for the most part, but the edges were burnt. like, charcoal black kinda burnt with no means of saving them. i wish i got some pics! i might still have some sitting out because i got full pretty quick, the the toppings were delightful. there was an assortment of things, but i'll list them so you can make your own too. sauce of course, garlic oil, muffuletta (which is like an olive based, veggie type pickled in oil and vinegar, in tiny chopped up pieces kinda like a giardiniera, which is pickled veggies the same way, idk how else to describe lol), eggplant, kale, black olives, prosciutto, little salamis (i guess you could say cured), cheese??? goat, mozz and bocconcini, bacon bits! bc it takes too long to cook real bacon, and.. something else i'm missing.. idk, either way, so good after the night we had last night and the day today lol.

i got a pic while typing this i asked my sister to help as my phone is busy so i'll post. pls enjoy.

Just most people like going in the morning so they can spend the whole day there lol But I fully understand them wanting to go when its cooler!

It's a type of cocktail (although I used to get virgin strawberry daiquiris all the time as a kid, which I guess were just strawberry smoothies). I never questioned how I pronounced it, but everybody was talking about it earlier and it stopped feeling like a word.
