It's Summertime!

It's finally summer time!
(at least for those of us in the northern hemisphere!)



So, I want to know...

What is your favourite thing to do in the summer? Are you a total beach bum? Lake lifer? How do you like to stay cool? Popsicles, ice cream, good old fashioned AC?
Maybe you have a favourite memory from the summer time? I wanna hear about it!

I will go first!

As a kid, we would always go to the outdoor waterslide park in June at the end of the school year. We would stay all day until we were EXHAUSTED. There was this one slide that was super scary to me, it was really fast, had big drops and was in pitch black. I remember the year I turned 12, I was FINALLY brave enough to go down it by myself. So I did, and it was a blast! Once it was time to leave, we'd get a twist (chocolate and vanilla swirled) soft serve ice cream cone.

I've been out running errands all day since getting off work and it was 90+ and disgustingly humid/muggy (severe thunderstorm warning for the rest of the evening, pray for my power plz) but stopped by 711 on the way home had to do it to em

Oh that one is my favorite of the slurpees they've got right now! You are right though it has a lot of sugar... I feel like I have to avoid anything with carbs in it for at least a week after having one.

that looks so good! did anyone ever participate in 7-11 day where they let you fill any container with whatever slurpee you wanted? i remember getting a bucket and feeling super sick after 15 minutes of drinking it LMAO

Ahhhhhhh thunderstorms are happening in my area tomorrow! My excitement is THROUGH THE ROOF! We haven't had any good storms this year and let me tell you, I am completely underwhelmed.

For me, I actually DONT like it. The sand, the smell, the people, the noise, the heat... lol
Come summer, I just sit in my apartment, get some iced tea, turn my AC on and watch some movies/shows or play a game

When my family goes to the beach, we got out to a national park where there's very few people. The dunes in the area are really pretty and you can find all of kinds of neat creatures, that's why I like the beach. But small doses only, it is such a pain to deal with the sand

i get that! for me, i love the smell of the beach, the feel of warm sand between my toes, and the cool ocean breeze! i definitely don't like it when the beaches are crowded or the sticky feeling you get after.
but the beach on a hot day, cool ocean breeze, cold drinks, and good company is always a fun summertime vibe for me

i definitely get that it isn't everyone's cup of tea though, one of my close friends hates the beach too haha
