Hi, re-welcome to the forum!! Well now it's Altador Cup happening though sign ups on Neopets are close. Some page conversions and NC UCs are what most are waiting for.
On the other hand on ck there are many topics going on, just take your time and browse threads. Hope to see you around ^^

You'll get a detailed timeline of events and such that you've missed just by reading the forums, but for a general rundown:
From 2018 til now there's been a whole lot of... well, nothing.
- Charity Corner isn't the same as it was in the years leading up to when you left, certain items being nerfed or themes being used instead. Uses a points/boon system similar to the Obelisk. (But not really?) There's nothing confirmed about one happening again this year.
- The Altador Cup has moved on to becoming HTML5 and as such it has worsened drastically. Harder to play legitimately, bit harder to figure out botting for (but we're well on our way) and it's just overall a glitchy mess that even legitimate players are pissed over.
- The NC mall (and Meta/NFTs) seem to be the main focus of the site, even despite the "attempts" at revamping everything for mobile, and supposedly a way for users to pay $$$ to UC-ify their pets is on the horizon, but that's been said for the last two years now so definitely don't hold your breath.

Welcome back, hpoe you enjoy both the forums and the game, I won't attempt to catch you up on the new features on Neo, seeing as I've only just returned and been around for ~1 year.
However, I think theres a petpage out there that actually has new features/developments on Neo that exists
