More of sharing a win for a close friend of mine - he's been in the closet for as long as we can remember (our close circle of friends) and although we all figured out he was gay a long time ago, none of us ever asked aloud if he came out of the closet publicly. We just accepted him as he was and earlier this year, he came out to all of us at a gathering and it was just wonderful that he trusted us all enough and felt safe enough to come out after all these years. I am incredibly happy for him and definitely cried a bit too when he teared up once he realised that his coming out didn't change how any of us saw him because he's still that wonderful human being that we have loved over the years of our friendship.

With pride month coming to a close, I am reflecting on my personal celebration of pride and my own identity. Over the course of many years, I have changed my identity a few times to figure out what felt best to me. I am finally happy in my own identity and understanding of myself, and I am glad to have reached that conclusion a little over two years ago, for my own personal happiness

This year, I did not celebrate pride month in the same way as past years - in previous years, I would be going to festivals, parades, and events and changing my icons on social media to represent myself, but I have found that for me personally, my understanding of my own identity privately is what I appreciate most That said, I did spend a lot of time this year sharing resources and happy news with others - I shared links to LGBT related news and resources like fonts in Neopets related servers, shared cool products related to identity that also gave to great causes in my own personal friends servers, et cetera. Sometimes celebrating pride is helping others celebrate their identities, too

Either way, turbulent as these last few years have been especially with the state of the world, I have never been more happy to be a part of the LGBT community. Happy pride!

I've been thinking a lot about how I celebrated Pride this year. I also thought if I should share it here.

Year after year I repeat the same thing: I believe that the best way to celebrate is by conquering the rights that have been denied us for so long... This year I have gone out, more times than I would like to admit, asking for justice for our colleagues who they've gone... Pride also means continuing to fight for the rights we have obtained to be respected.

I celebrate life with pride for them. Happy pride, happy life.

The Pride UB is awarded for posting how you celebrate Pride month in this thread! It's not automatic and if I remember correctly just posting is not enough.

Oh. Well I picked up one of my pigeons and carted him around the house this morning, that was a pretty good celebration. Otherwise I've been too sick to do anything, being sick for an entire month is not how I usually celebrate pride. But sometimes it is.
