Happy pride month everyone!!!

Nothing really big happened for me this year, but I did notice I feel more confident about saying things like "my ex" with people I'm not really close with without worrying. (In my native language there is no gender-neutral way to say it, so it's essentially outing me, just like that, in a middle of a normal conversation). I guess it means I got a little bit more confident with who I am to not think it is something that "only close friends" should know.

Oh wow, I never thought about gendered language being a way that could out you! Wow - honestly I learn something new every day. Thank you for sharing!

You could try taking it in steps! I don't know how long your hair is now, but you could go just a little bit shorter each time until you feel confident/assured enough to make that final jump. That's what I've always ended up doing.

My personal win for this month is a big one: I GOT ENGAGED!!

My betrothed and I are now trying to navigate buying a house and starting a family together in the upcoming year as two trans people, along with getting our names updated and new identification so we can figure out marriage license and health insurance down the road.

We'll be celebrating pride month privately (so, entirely online) due to COVID and personal distaste for the corporate, boot-licking cesspool our local pride events have become. So happy for your haircut + gender euphoria - it's wild how such an "easy" change improves your outlook so easily!

Not much of a win, but I was nominated to be apart of my corporate inclusivity department, and am leading a seminar this month on how to be more inclusive to members of the community. My topic is pronouns, and how we can be the best in the business by being progressive and allowing associates to have them on their name tags (No, I don't work for target lol).

Yea, gender euphoria is such a refreshing break from the usual dysphoria. Not only that, but nothing makes me feel as cool and confident to dress decently and go out like gender euphoria does!
