I am definitely a fan :o IDK why but it kind of looks fluffy and cutesy which a lot of Tyrannian pets don't read (esp the ones that have that real strong "caveman" aesthetic going on) reminds me of that one petpet but with muted colors... skree??

Something about it seems to be out of place (apart from the clenched hands on converted pets - I really hate that). Can't quite put my finger on it but it's probably the tail and crest looking too rigid?

Very fancy looking lil archaeopteryx! I like the colour scheme, the gradient sort of reminds me of the sky at dawn.

not a vanda fan here either but that color palette tho, I think it's gorgeous. One of my favorite color schemes on a pet in a while.

I like the color palette for sure! I don't... love... how, er, rigid it looks? Hmm. I don't know how to describe it. I think they did a great job, but something about it just isn't as... Tyrannian?... as something like the new Chomby. But overall I see what they were going for and I recognize the reference!

They deadass remind me of some furry alien kinda thing that only gets a few lines in a show or maybe the "overly-clumsy-to-the-point-of-it-being-annoying-asf" type of character.

Definitely agree with most of this thread, haha...
Vandagyre's main problem for me is the overly "biped" body proportions instead of leaning into something more avian or even griffin-like Lenny/Eyrie, I guess this is what happens when you design a pet with customization in mind so all its limbs are shoehorned into being made for those proportions.
Maybe I'm biased since I was really hoping for an eagle/raptor neopets with a more aerodynamic build, like Pteris are just cute roundbois that doesn't have that kind of cool, aerodynamic sleekness that Eyries have for example.
The colors are nice, but something just feels off about the species on a whole, unfortunately.

I love the colors but there's definitely parts of this that just look awkward. It has the converted fae pteri's little head feathers that just look kinda funny converted, but look fantastic in the uc art.
