Has anyone ever played Verpets?

Just wondering, I used to be very active and everyone on the site was pretty close with each other.
They have nice features like custom pet images, ability to change pet or account name, allowed to trade pets/items for each other or currency/art, owning slurs or bad words as names.

It's a bit like old neopets, but unforunately the side died. The games are not working anymore, and there were 5 people online a while ago, and that was a new record for a while

I remember verpets... I think I drew some item images for them back when I did freelance art and flash game work for petsites.

Oh man I remember Verpets. When I was a kid I'd always look for other pet sites that would grip me the way Neo did. Alas I never stuck around and would always crawl my way back to Neopets x'D

I didn't even know verpets was still around wow. What a relic. Currrent state reminds me of paladore shortly before it died though, no updates, no staff, only like 5 players, so get your nostalgia in while you still can. This probably won't be around too much longer.

I had admittedly never heard of it, so I went and took a quick look at it. I really liked what I saw. It’s too bad it’s on it’s very end of life, it seems.
It seems like a lot of past day pet sites are in a similar position as that.
