After missing like 10 items and what felt like 1 million manual refreshes, finally got it! If I ever start a new account I'll have to download Bat's script because that seems so much easier.

yes but most likely less and less players will be actively refreshing to generate items and clearing to get rid of junk items which will mount up to less actual opportunities to get the avatar once more.
JN hosts a (i think) monthly event where they try to spur on the community to refresh which has garnered some response from the community so i'd say to def try when they do it.

Even without i feel it should be possible though you might have to have script(s) running longer because you need to generate new items and only one in x amount of generated items will be an avatar item.

Don't give up and keep on trying and i'll try to also put in some refreshing on a daily basis to help generate items when i can.

i got a bunch of avatar items like darigan pb and turmac a while ago in one go, my strategy was to just clear the junk item on the bottom right and then immediately click at the same spot again regardless of what stocks

I got lucky and got it very easily but I got one of those bottled faeries that are only worth a few hundred nps. Otherwise I may have tried the rubbish dump grabber
