I think a lot of newbies initially find it intimidating and or hard to commit to anime that have a large number of episodes. Hence, I'll recommend some options that have fewer episodes:

    - No Game No Life (12 episodes)
    - Sora yori mo tooi basho (13 episodes)
    - Spy x Family (currently 12 episodes)
    - Dr. Stone (24 episodes atm)
    - Demon Slayer (37 episodes atm)
    - Death Note (37 episodes)
    - Violet Evergarden (13 episodes)
    - Angel Beats (13 episodes)
    - Grand Blue (12 episodes)
    - Made in Abyss (13 eps atm - technically 14 with new season currently airing)

Demon Slayer, Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen are a must for newer anime.
Inuyasha, Death Note, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood are the tops for older anime that don't have an insane amount of episodes. Inuyasha being the longest though but it goes quick.
If you like animal related Wolfs Rain, Ginga Densetsu Weed & Ginga Nagareboshi Gin are really good.

Attack on Titan is a bit long (94 episodes) but absolutely worth it and it's finished. Shorter animes I'd recommend are Death Note, Puella Magi Madoka Magica (looks cute but it's pretty dark), Beastars, Dorohedoro, Vinland Saga, and of course Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood as others have said

Sincerely: Give Sailor Moon a shot! It's a great watch, especially if you put the dub on while you're browsing the internet or drawing or working on something. The dub new dub is great! Sometimes it feels like people are a little quick to dismiss actually watching sailor moon because of its length, but its really a monster of the week type show that doesn't demand your full attention, and is just a great time to watch. My favorite season is S because I'm a big fan of the outer scouts and their story! Haruka is my favorite lol

As for shows that have come out more recently and are actually only like 12-24 episodes long, Try a place further than the universe or Hinamatsuri!

A Place further than the universe is a great drama and a real tearjerker, especially towards the end. Its a very sweet show and it holds a very special place in my heart. It's definitely a great watch especially if you're kind of new to everything and aren't as much interested in shonen, or want something a lot slower. Give it a shot, I promise its good!

Hinamatsuri is also really great, it's one of the funniest shows I've watched through in the last few years. It's got great comedic timing and the pacing is insane, it's like you're watching 3 episodes per episode. The pacing is insaaaane. It'll gutpunch you out of nowhere!!

Anyways, I hope you found something you like. I didn't actually notice this thread was two years old when I first clicked on it. I'm new and browsing lmfao
