Technical Cert Test - Data Dump?

Does anyone know of any sites that are actually reliable for getting past tests and answers? I’ve always been a fast learner, and my aptitude has never been a problem… but I have extreme test anxiety and 2 attempts on a grant I received.

I have been doing business security presentations and analysis for several years but need the Comptia Security + cert to actually have some credentials on paper.

Any help would be much appreciated.

This is a tough question to categorize as forums go, @(you need an account to see links)! We'll leave this in the help section for now, but feel free to bump it occasionally if you want to try for some more attention. We can also move it elsewhere for you if you think that it might get better traction in another forum.

    Good luck!

Hi @(you need an account to see links), have you taken Professor Messer's practice tests and Jason Dion's study practice tests on Udemy? I haven't taken this certification, but I did find Udemy's practice tests remarkably like the real exam for my AWS cert exam and a lot of people at my company use Udemy in preparation for tech exams.

Reddit communities are really helpful for technical certs (and also for career questions). Have you seen the (you need an account to see links)?
There's also (you need an account to see links) who passed their exam 14 hours ago and they listed what they did in their 3 weeks of studying.

I also understand your test anxiety. It took me two years to get the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate even though it's supposed to be the second easiest AWS cloud cert. I just kept procrastinating for so long and couldn't make myself buckle down and take the exam. I do think you're approaching this the right way by taking multiple practice exams. The rule of thumb is if you can score at least 10% higher than what you need to pass on the practice exam, then you are ready to take the real exam. I think you need a 75% to pass CompTIA Security+ so you should aim for 85% on your practice exams.

    I hope this helps!

If you’re looking to get Sec+ I would highly, HIGHLY recommend CertMaster. You have to pay for it.. but it’s the best resource I found while I was studying to get my cert. I paid a lot of money for other things that were “highly recommended” but I found them all to be junk. CertMaster is really the only thing you need. Walks you through all the core principles in an easy to understand way.

Plus, if you buy the bundle thing, it comes with one test voucher and a retake voucher in case you need it. The first time I got like a 710, second time I got an 840 or so.

I didn’t mind dropping as much cash as needed for the resources since I was told I HAD to have it for my job. But I could have saved so much if I did CertMaster. All the dumps out there are usually old and unreliable, especially since they just moved to the new version iirc.

Thank you both SO much for this! I am currently taking the course on IT Pro TV and it’s been helpful, but admittedly I would feel more confident in taking this if the network and port configuration or the other more “technical” parts of this were what I needed in my job, but I am more of a business consultant with a security mindset and just literally need this for credentials (and a pay raise). I really appreciate the feedback, you guys.

It’s definitely easier after getting that real world experience. I work as a security engineer/architect - so the objectives were things I dealt with everyday. Some parts I didn’t deal as in depth, or the things they asked for basic but not really used in real life that it had me stumped. It’s interesting to see what they test on and then what’s actually used in the field. Sometimes it’s literally night and day, it’s wild!

Good luck with the studying! I hope you can knock it out first try!
