Ooh I don't have a record of it because I used my partner's PC but my best was 2, the first time I ever played xD just got really lucky guessing!

Also I only recently found out hard mode was an actual thing but that's actually just my normal strategy? If you're really stumped I understand guessing other words for more letters but the moment I get a yellow or green letter I feel like I have no reason NOT to try to come up with a word testing them because otherwise you're clearly NOT going to get the word with the guess so... isn't that just a waste?? I don't claim to be smart though LOL.

Yeah, I noticed I played the "hard-mode" way by default. However, sometimes on hardmode, you really wish you could guess other letters to quickly eliminate possibilities.
Especially if you got something like this with a TON of possible middle letters. 🟩🟩⬛🟩🟩

EXACTLY!! I once had 4 greens on 2/6, and only got it on 6/6

also something I find really interesting is I feel like ever since the NYT acquired Wordle ppl (at least from what I saw) complained about the words being harder/shittier but NYT said they didn't change the word list at all from what the original creator made. so I wonder if NYT never acquired it ppl would have had the same opinion when we got these more annoying to guess words lol

It was my first and only loss! And coincidentally the day I switched over to NYT - sort of, I spent a few days playing it without my preferences/stats being saved because of this anti-paywall extension I use, but when I switched to doing it on mobile. It felt like a bad omen to start with, but I've been going strong ever since!

I usually like trying to solve the end of the word and then try and guess the beginning, but when the end is something I don't expect it messes with my brain lol
