"Various towns blend seamlessly into the wilderness with no borders.
You’ll be able to see the Pokémon of this region in the skies, in the seas, in the forests, on the streets—all over!
You’ll be able to experience the true joy of the Pokémon series—battling against wild Pokémon in order to catch them—now in an open-world game that players of any age can enjoy."

The three new Pokémon are Sprigatito, a “capricious, attention-seeking Grass Cat Pokémon;” Fuecoco, a “laid-back Fire Croc Pokémon that does things at its own pace;” and Quaxly, an “earnest and tidy Duckling Pokémon.”

Here are the full details of the new starters, provided by The Pokémon Company:

    Sprigatito

    Category: Grass Cat Pokémon

    Height: 1′4″Weight: 9 lbs.

    Type: Grass

    Ability: Overgrow

The capricious, attention-seeking Grass Cat Pokémon.

    Fuecoco

    Category: Fire Croc Pokémon

    Height: 1′4″Weight: 21.6 lbs.

    Type: Fire Ability: Blaze

The laid-back Fire Croc Pokémon that does things at its own pace.

    Quaxly

    Category: Duckling Pokémon

    Height: 1′8″Weight: 13.4 lbs.

    Type: Water

    Ability: Torrent

The earnest and tidy Duckling Pokémon.

I feel this is so soon for yet another Pokemon game, but exciting nonetheless! The game seems to have the vibe of Arceus and Sw/Sh put together, which looks pretty neat! I also think that Fuecoco gives off major himbo energy and I will, without a DOUBT, be choosing him as my starter once the time comes!

So, what are everyone's thoughts on the new title and various updates coming to existing games?

    Ahhh Sprigatito
I adore cats, I just really really hope they don't make the evolutions stand on 2 legs like that have for so many other starters

I missed this reply, but yes agreed! I am often not a fan of having them on two legs. We want cute Pokémon on all fours!!
I just wish it wasn’t a grass type. I never choose grass starters. I almost always pick the fire starter.

I always choose fire too, the only exceptions was when I picked Oshawott and Froakie because of the 2 leg thing for Tepig and Fennekin
(I did pick Litten even though he goes to 2 legs though because he was just too cute!)
I might have to play through it twice, I have to use Sprig at least once <3
