That event is something I definitely want to do, but last year kind of got away from me and I'm still in the early brainstorming phase of things!

Oh yeah, take your time! No rush. Also the next 3 months are busy for me, but I would definitely make time if you ran it.

On a different note, I got an idea for a possible contest prize. What if the winners of a ryu related event get a 1 week ryu playdate with either Tyler Durden, Batty, or Flordibel's poodle? Like they get to pick which staff ryu their ryu gets to hang out with. I think it's a fun incentive, I don't know if you guys like the idea.

My single favorite event we did was the Ryu scene contest. It was so much fun. I'd love a redux of that, maybe one where instead of scenes, users submit their own Ryus and evolutions paths. It'd be fun to do a contest where the admins pick their favorite to implement and the forum chooses a second based on popular vote.

dude, i would LOVE a contest for designing your own ryu evolution path! we have that kind of event for pokemon, so why not our ryus?

i was also thinking it could be a cool idea to have multiple potential evolution branches for each ryu "starter" - like drakes could end up as the already-made western dragons or an eastern dragon or even something closer to a big fancy wyrm. the cats could end up as the manticore or something like a sphinx? just throwing ideas out there! i think an element of surprise for each branch would be super fun and could also be turned into some sort of contest.

I was so shocked to see the What's New and What's Hot section on the top of the forum, reloaded the page three times and cursed my poor internet connection (?) Now i get to know it was all planned here c':

I want to second @(you need an account to see links) 's sugestion of aging bars! CK is 10 years maybe pick a pokémon or a neopet and add them to the rank bar showing the accounts age, 0m-6m-1y-2y on!
And @(you need an account to see links) 's personality-based ubs! Loving the Harry Potter idea! Imagine a neo faeries UBs based on personality! Obtainable during neo faeries festival, or after being nominated for one by other users!

As for the events, i've been enjoying everything i could participate, i think all forum enjoys and think that the fairest events are where we get to work in an ambient we feel comfortable with props; Fright Festival, Defenders of CK, Christmass; we could draw, paint, write, bake, tailor, build, etc..

I personally enjoy the best out of events where we make something specific, Nanowrimo, Live Colourfully; even if i haven't participated in them like Ryu Creation, Tipsy, Egg Hunt and Bake; or when we get to interact a lot like during the first Ryu Hatching, Spooky/Christmass bar hunting; this could lead to UBs related to what we do most on the forum as a great way to recognize the participation, like a UYS or Mystery Pic UBs, i dream with a "Pokémon/Nintendo Reporter" some day hahahha

A re-do of previous events is something most of us wait too!
As for new events, even if the Ryu Scene/Specie contest is a winner here, let's brainstorming! I know a couple of Pokémon Battle tournaments have been done in Showdown! Games Master with Neo games could be done too; or if many players role play, a campaing could be played (omg, i had an idea!); maybe Board Game Arena/PokTCGO/Magic Arena tournaments! I know i'll come back with more ideas later hahah

Hey everyone! I think a best/worst final stater evolution for Pokémon Scarlet/Violet competition would be really fun. Similar to the competition we just had where we invent an evolution that doesn't exist yet. I'd love to see the ideas of what people think the final evos will look like! Especially once the actual final evos get released and we wind up liking someone's entry more than the actual evolution lol

+1 I would really love these ideas! I also love the creative competitions (and want to see Live Colourfully make a return) since otherwise I sit on my hands a lot.
