Will UC Pets become worthless once they are sold in the NC Store?

What do you guys think is going to happen with that? I don't really care about what my pet looks like but I like the idea of trading a UC pet from the NC Store for a BD stats pet. Legit way of buying the pet you want.

I don’t think they will ever become fully worthless. Once NC UCs drop, everything is going to shift, especially how TNT decides to release them. Without going into too much UC Release Lore, RN & RWs are going to keep increasing in value, BD pets may trade well, Y1/Y2 pets will go up, and perhaps “Old UCs” could hold new value.

Everything is up to speculation right now, but honestly, I’m just excited for more art =)

It's very interesting. I'm still curious about morphing all my pets coz I don't know if skins would be for general use or not. I believe Old UCs would still hold value though the vbn/bn ones don't know how much will the NC UCs affect them.

So excited to get an MSP UC skin. I'd spend for that. The converted ones just don't do justice to some of the old art.

Whoops my thoughts got off topic - I think that UC Pets won't become worthless per se, but it'll definitely drop in price. They were so highly valued because of the high demand with low supply but if they're readily available in the shop then of course people won't trade high value pets for them anymore. That being said, like what was mentioned earlier, it depends on what type of pets get released and all.

End of the day, prices are subjective and it really depends.

Most people on the pound chat seem to want UC for what they look like and the art, but maybe this new set of UC's from the cash store will reveal that people really cared about the prestige or status symbol of having one?

They say that the original UCs will retain their value in some way, but I think their value will drop drastically. Unless there is a very obvious physical difference (say, changing the royal girls dress color or something).

But more than likely the original UCs will just get a trophy (or perhaps be the only UCs that are tradable) and everyone will have the option to have their nice character art on names that they value. No real incentive to trade UCs, unless you can’t afford them.

The game will all be about VWN UC trading (name for name or VWN species swap etc). Hence why RN/RW pets are real high value right now.
I'm not sure how they will disinguish old from new UCs, especially with a lot of 'new' UCs being created from cheating or reversals etc anyway. Would they count as old UCs? Only time will tell!

I suspect the new UCs won't be tradeable. If you can trade anything it will probably be UC 'skins' and that would be a neocash trade rather than anything you could trade for pets. But we can't know for sure.

They said they were going to make them tradable, yet also try to ensure that current UCs keep their value. The only things I can think of are a high cash price or limiting creation to once per year across all accounts or something like that. I considered whether they would limit it to Premium, but that would piss a lot of people off, especially since a lot of people claim to have dropped the service. Regardless of how they proceed, values will take at least a slight hit.
