I really like the new Pastel color, especially the tail feathers. The texturing is very pretty. Loving the phoenix outfit as well!

I agree with the the colour being good in practice, but w botched execution. The trend of newer colours getting finer details w texture and such was obviously attempted here, but the lining is too inconsistent, esp on the face. The neon blue looking more like scales or spikes, then the hardly textured lighter around the eyes? the texture-less inner wing as well..
at least the color palleted is alright mostly

The outfit is cool.

The color... I can't like it. The small feathers stick out in a bad way and it looks weird. The colors are pretty though.

Pastel is so soft and pleasing to me, the outfit I think could be better, looks bit weird.

I love pastel, but the feather texturing is an odd choice. Why specifically feathering for pastel? Is there a reference or reason I'm missing? But I'm a texture fiend, so mad props to the artist for practicing. The head looks a bit weird because they couldn't make the feathers go out of the lineart so to speak, and I agree on the tail looking off as well. But I applaud the effort where they do make the texture work on the one wing and chest. It looks absolutely beautiful.

I hope the artist who did this keeps practicing and improving on their texture skill! They've got a great start.

they are overrendered and doesn't match the style at all. There are a handful of overrendered neopets I feel like this really strays from the style

I agree with most that I absolutely LOVE the color patterns on both....but the style just falls short. It's just weird, idk how to describe it, but could've been designed better

I really don't like the pastel - I'm big on style consistency, and I don't understand why this pteri's feathers have that texture when all the other pteris don't. It also just doesn't look cohesive with the eyes/general anatomy.. yeah overall take "why"

i get that everyone is loving the texture of the feathers on the new color, i'm happy everyone is lving it but tbh it's not my cup of tea, and i didnt liked much the outfite either, the idea is awesome but didnt like how they executed it
