I seriously had a dream last night where TNT apologized for the NFTs and took them down LOL. It was very weird.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 announced NFTs for their game, got immediate backlash, tried to double down on it, got even more backlash, and then announced an hour ago they have cancelled the NFT implement.

This needs to happen more often.

Assuming the devs don't go back on their word. It's gross seeing NFTs invade my other favorite hobby being videogames.

I have mixed feelings on this. Totally agree about big corporate things like video games, but I spend time in creative coding and procgen type communities and I t an issue with ake much less of an individual minting singular pieces (or even small series). I still think it's silly (to put it lightly) to buy into them, but I don't really blame them for going after a side hustle like that. And in that sense NFTs have become part of that hobby and probably are there to stay, but it feels different, like more like mom-and-pop shop?, but it's definitely...prickly territory. I was lurking procjam stuff last week despite not making anything and there was a pretty strong don't-shill-your-nft energy from what i saw.

The NFT team apparently want our opinion on their NFTs via a survey that's only open for a short period of time. Can't imagine why.
