Finally got my cider donut!

We don't have fall per se where I live (it's pretty much just summer and less humid summer), but I've always loved to see all the treats and general vibes from it - that being said, I decided to try my hand at making a caramel & vanilla frapuccino-like drink to match the season and join cK on this thread!

Pretty nice! I didn't put any extra sugar in it other than the 2 tablespoons of caramel, so it wasn't super sweet nor that bitter. I have enough ingredients to do a lot more, so I guess I'll be having a frap everyday in the morning before going to the lab for at least a month.It was really refreshing too, very fitting for the hot weather here.

Finally having my first pumpkin flavored treat of the season! Made a drink with Bailey's, vodka, and pumpkin pie spice flavored coffee creamer, topped with pumpkin pie spice!

In lieu of the Chai Latte + Pumpkin from Starbucks, I found a Tazo Pumpkin Spice Latte concentrate at Target. I wanted to make it a bit fancier, so here's what I did.
To start, 50/50 milk and mixture as per instructions. I added a tablespoon of maple syrup to make it even sweeter, and added more cinnamon on top after microwaving it for a minute. I only had lowfat milk, but I'd recommend higher percentage, or you can use your favorite dairy substitute.
Verdict: I'm glad I added the maple syrup and cinnamon. Very sweet, which I like. Actually, it was so sweet, that the kick of the nutmeg or cardamom, something, was unwelcome. It kicked the back of my throat on the way down, while the rest of it was tasting like a maple pumpkin autumn dream. Good warm or chilled, but it needs to be warmed first for the flavors to mix. Looking forward to my next cup.
Addendum: Itβs also good, if not better, with ice cream. I donβt have heavy cream at home, but I do have vanilla bean ice cream from a fav local brand. It also took some of the pepper kick out. I recommend it!

I grabbed some pumpkin squares from the European Market in my area to share in here. They go extremely well with some orange pekoe tea.Appreciation goes to this thread for giving me a reason to go out and look for something yummy to grab while getting groceries.

Okay I got a pumpkin square last weekend and I'd never had one, but fully expected it to be something like that, but instead it was more like a piece of cake, I was kind of disappointed and now I'm a little more so, lol!
