Basically the only things that've kept Neopets playable for me are 1) all the beautiful scripts in the scripts forum, including the one that shows your pet in the sidebar on beta, and the one that restores the world maps, and 2) keeping Flash active for Flash customization. Otherwise the site is unplayable at worst and depressing at best.
