Pet Slots might be coming soon

I laughed for the same reason, friend. I am wondering the cost of slots. Wasn’t subeta’s like $20 per slot before?

When the mystical plushies were still a thing, I can't remember if the value was $20 or $40 for the 1 and 2 pet slots respectively. i want to say the rate has been 1k CSC = $10 forever now, so it might have been $40/$80 then instead cause they were 4k/8k respectively.

in any case, the way slots are done now is different. You either buy a slot for 1.5k CSC that's currently at a cap of 55, then you either buy from the millionaire center til you hit that cap of 25, then you've got loyalty totems you can redeem starting after 2 years of being on the site (which afaik has no cap), or you get them as rewards for events and such. Basically if you've been on Subeta for a long ass time, it's easy to have racked up pet slots, but otherwise starting out it's still 5 for normal accounts, 10 for GAs. and I want to say if you unlock 10 from a GA ever, you keep those extra 5 pets forever, you don't have to get rid of them after the GA expires.

so it goes 5/10 starting out, then you can get up to 60/65 from CSC purchases alone, then 85/90 from buying from the MC, and from there, over time you can wind up with 100+ pets depending on getting prizes for events, loyalty totems, and if you're an old timer who redeemed those plushies and early loyalty totems, it's likely you have the ability to get 100.

it's so funny, i'm the opposite, i want pets off my main, I want that account to just be the pets I made as a kid even if they're cheap paints with names like "missy_bubble_bunny" (i have no idea if that's a real pet) and then all my nice (and not-so-nice) UCs and other pets can live on side accounts

I feel similarly. I like my sides. They're all themed. I don't want to merge everything onto one account. I worked a long time to make my sides perfectly themed and not to mention ALL THE CROSSPAINTS. That'll be a mess to try to do all over again if they make us go to one account.

I'm honestly a bit annoyed. Like, I like more pet slots but come on, eliminating sides is a huge change and I don't know if I'm just being a curmudgeon but I don't like it.

My body is so ready. Really hoping the slot expansion items are like someone said how NB pens function - giftable until you activate it. I'd buy the 10 pack to distribute across my sides.

Also iirc from watching the (weird, surreal) cooking video, slots are most likely planned to be unlimited and sides will be able to expand pet slots but there is no mention of getting RID of sides.

I for some reason assumed we would be able to have 25-30 pets max, but if it really is unlimited then that's even better. I'm curious about prices too, because I bet it will be cheaper than whatever item/method they release to make UCs possible.

I’m thinking if people are already running bots to create all names that don’t have numbers up to 7-8L. Considering that’s what people did to 4L as well.

As some ppl pointed out on the PC I think if they were really going for a monthly subscription model it'd make more sense to have them in normal year to month divisions? Like the usual 1, 6, 12 months? I think it'd be nigh impossible for them to deal with the idea, from a programmatic angle, of expiring pet slots to given the number expected people would buy looool.

oh hECK I'm excited for this! You betcha I'm gonna be getting that 10 pet slot. If NC pet slots are coming about soon then what does that mean for potential UC's becoming available to us?
