Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I'm fairly certain (with my unreliable memory) that customisation fixing was a priority specifically mentioned before the return of UCs, not pet slots. So I'm fully on pet slot preparation for this maintenance!

Ah, I did just go back and check, and you're right! I could have sworn they mentioned customization in the NT Editorial on pet slots, but it looks like it was only mentioned in the last beta update last month- "The only caveat to this is that UC Pets still need to undergo some fixes, but these issues will be addressed prior to the re-release of UC Pets."

Either way, I'm just glad they're just taking the time to work on something on the site! Anything we can get at this point, ey?

That downtime was so anticlimactic! The one thing currently keeping me hopeful is that the pound is staying down for a while longer - maybe that's them tweaking the transfer part of this...? Please?

Also speaking of transfers being different for account consolidation reasons - I'd love to put all my pets on a few accounts and ditch like 2 of my sides, but unless they do something about crosspaints that'll be impossible (I mean not liiiiiiterally but.. I'm not painting pets every single one of their past clothing colours ugh). @ TNT please make PB clothes temporarily giftable (or permanently giftable? I don't feel like that would have a huge downside)

...and while we're at it, I know this is objectively a cash grab, but some free GBCs with the purchase of slots would be lit. Let me easily and comprehensively drain these sides

You know this downtime is because they're doing something huge. And on a 21 year old outdated website you'd expect it to take wayyy longer than just 1 day of maintenance to get a brand new complex feature to work right. I'm proud of them for taking on a mammoth task

Does anyone intend to keep some or all of their side accounts even after slots are introduced? If so, what do you intend to do with them?
I have a couple of sides whose usernames I'm fond of that I'd like to keep, but aside from having extra galleries and joining more guilds, I don't think there's any other things sides can be utilized for?

My accounts are roughly themed so my pets that are grouped together will stay together, yeah. I don't see the appeal of one acct with like... 20 pets on it. Way too messy lol.

Not to be a total sap, but my side accounts have some sentimental value to me. I made them when I was a youngin! I don't think I can gut and abandon them. I also don't want to pay an arm and a leg to do that

I think I’m gonna keep 2-3 like actively full of pets & retire 2-3, but like hang onto them in case. They’re all old and sentimental for me, but it goes hand out in hand with that that a few of the uns are cringey. I also like keeping my pets somewhat sorted - right now it’s 5 distinct groups on my 5 accounts, but I’m gonna map out what pets I want to add and then re-sort all into fewer groups. And then of course we’ll see how affordable it is to move everything, including NC and PB clothes. The part of my brain that’s addicted to matching is PSYCHED, the part that doesn’t want to blow a ton of money on neo anymore is living in dread
