The original owners of the NC value guide are stepping down. I thought I'd share the announcement, especially for those who are active in NC trading/sales.
A bummer, but completely understandable, I can only imagine how time consuming keeping waka up to date is considering the amount of NC items that gets released every month. I just hope someone else picks it up
i honestly can't imagine the work that goes into keeping up a NC value guide. with new items dropping, old items constantly being RR'd, and seemingly random items becoming hot for no reason, you'd have to dedicate a huge amount of time to being on the NCC.
hopefully a trustworthy member of the community continues the legacy- guides really are invaluable to new players and returning players!
I don't spend a lot of time trading NC so I don't really have a grasp of what it takes to maintain a guide like that, but I can't really imagine it. I have so much respect for people who maintain (or have maintained) value guides for things like that or UC pets or whatever. It seems so time consuming and complicated and thankless. I imagine burnout is easy, and wish well to whatever they do next.
Also, does anybody know what is meant by "the other guide" that they said they'd be taking down due to financial reasons? I assume it's something hosted off-site or something?
I'm so sorry to hear this! It's always a little sad when a guide owner steps down. Wishing them the best of the best and I hope that the new guide (whatever it settles down to be, after the initial rush of 93029 guides striving to become the next one) is chill.
