What happened with old items, and why did they drop in price?

Okay, I guess I was being pretty vague with it.
I was thinking of things like Limited Too promos / RIC items, while some have kept their value, something like the White Aisha Mirror, Purple Chia Mirror, Cuddly Plushies, have all dropped in value. Understandable that they could drop in price as its only a collector item, but it just seems really odd to me, that an abundance of these items have dropped so much in value.

But I guess the supply demand thing makes a lot of sense, I am able to find an abundance on SW. I just must have overlooked that.

When old accounts got cracked into, those items were very common. Some of them weren’t really even worth moving or taking into account because they were so prevalent to be honest.

But werent accounts being cracked into all the time before as well? Did something change, or did people just get better at it?
This definitely shinned some light onto the situation for me though.

I also see that there was a UC conversion method that was in March?

i mean, yeah, they were. But more people were doing it the past few years. That combined with less players and those items essentially being nothing but collectibles. Once people who wanted them got them, the pressure to sell probably kept dropping the price lower and lower. Prices are so crazy lately compared to what they used to be
