Classic petpage music collection
I get nostalgic for certain music or super obscure songs because it used to be on super popular neopet pages, I'm gonna link a few (i've always wanted to do a playlist)
but I'd thought it would be fun getting a thread going for music that reminds you of neopets or maybe its your own neopets theme or whatever. Its corny af but we all secretly love that.

I LOVE THIS oh my god. also i laughed when i saw the harry potter theme on that playlist, cause it makes me think of all those midi petpages. i had like midis from like every final fantasy ever on all of my pets lookups for a time.
I got excited for this because a few of them brought stuff flooding back, mostly the GitS theme song. I was hoping the one I haven’t been able to find for like 15 years was on here but, alas, no dice. This was awesome though! Thank you for the nostalgia!

Honestly, I have no way of explaining what this song sounded like or what kind of pet it was on. All I can say is, it was partly techno/electronic, and it was basically like half Japanese/half English, with a woman singing. All I remember for the lyrics is “_____ for something” and the next phrase after was in (what I assume) was Japanese :/ Sorry I can’t be more helpful haha

I desperately wanted to use high quality music on my pages when I was a kid, but I only had a dial-up internet connection, so nothing would stream properly! I ended up resorting to midi versions of video game music, like the Sky Chase zone from Sonic the Hedgehog 2:

another one and im trying to think, i know a lot of people (myself included) used a lot of music from .hack//sign at the time, maybe its one of those songs or from the anime in general?
It’s along those lines, I’ll get to looking and see if I can find it in there! The tempo for the one I’m thinking of was about twice as fast perhaps? Had some hard hitting drums in it too. It’s been so damn long that I can pretty much only remember half of the main chorus lmao
so many of these are anime songs and its driving me nuts i cant remember the pages they belonged too.
