In my opinion... if a pet is not your own from creation or another secured ownership chain like coming from a friend who created it (or a converted you personally painted pre-conversion) you're never safe from a reversal. I feel like these types of cases are becoming more and more common for some reason and if someone somehow has access to whatever account your pet originally came from or has enough proof to convince TNT the pet used to be theirs, you're at the mercy of TNT's whims. Sure if you've had a pet for 5+ years chances are extremely slim, but I would never 100% discount the possibility of some crazy shit happening in the unluckiest of scenarios.

Caveat though, I'd say that mainly holds true for high tier/desirable pets. If you have like a non-VWN low tier pet I'm sure you're significantly safer than someone with a VWN T5-6+.
