Hey there, I just got my second dose of the COVID vaccine and in a couple of weeks, I'll be raring to go. It's been one heck of a year and a half (at least in the US). What do you all plan to do once you're vaccinated and the waiting time has passed?
For me, I really miss going to the local arcade and the zoo the most. I also think a haircut is in need. What are you all looking forward to?

Well... trying to get the vaccine here in Canada has been... a little bit more of a process, especially depending on what province you’re in. I finally get my first dose later next week, but not sure when I’ll get the second as the timeline on when to get the second keeps changing here.
Anyways. Even after my vaccine, I will still be wearing a mask and I will still limit what I’m doing. Just because I have the vaccine doesn’t mean the risk is completely gone, especially with variants really taking over where I am. Until things truly actually settle down, I’ll still be taking heavy precautions. Not for myself but for everyone around me!
ETA: restrictions here have been garbage tbh (hence the massive 3rd wave rn) but I’ve been able to get my hair cut. Oddly the thing I miss the most is going to the movie theatre? So if those ever open up again, you’ll see me there for sure.

Congrats on the second dose! Hope it doesn't give you any of the side effects
Getting my second dose next week
My first outting will be a concert at the end of this month, been dying without shows.
Still going to socially distance and wear a mask (and will be wearing one at the show)
Thank you to carrottea for the lovely userbar

i haven't had my first dose yet, but they recently opened up for me so i'm hoping to get one either at a pharmacy or my clinic, whatever's easier
how long does it take? like, could i do an uber round trip? or would i need to take two one ways?
i don't own a car, but we're finally getting an e-scooter next week so maybe i could ride it and save the cost of 4 frickin' ubers haha
my partner has had both since he's an essential worker, tho!
i'm hoping to be able to go out for more walks/rides, just some fresh air. as i've mentioned elsewhere i can't really walk for very far at all and i used to be able to years back -- covid really didn't help me there
so here's to hoping!

Our rollout has been a bit weird over here, as we put all our eggs in the AZ basket. So I'm just waiting for another vac to come out!

Would have zero impact on my life. Aside from screens up at stores, sanitiser everywhere and some places requiring check-in with the app, life is pretty much normal where I live. On Monday, for instance, I'm running a BBQ breakfast for the teacher's union before we participate in the Labor Day march. It was all cancelled last year, but this year we're back on.
Australia hasn't really been hit too much, compared to other places. They've taken stricter measures to help ensure that though, which, when you see the horror stories of people not willing to follow minimal changes to routine, wouldn't have gone over successfully at all in some other places. It's lucky we haven't had it though, since our vaccine roll-out has been a joke anyway.

I was tested positive a month ago, so I guess I'm vaccinated lite? My country recommends that you get vaccinated 6 months after being tested positive, but will allow people that were tested positive the same privileges as vaccinated people.
Mostly looking forward to my parents being fully vaccinated, as I'm currently living with one of them, and the other one meets up with friends fairly often. So I've been worried sick about them getting infected, and am craving that peace of mind. And being able to see our relatives who live in other countries; we missed my grandma's 90th birthday and my great aunt's funeral. I'd also love to give people hugs again without feeling guilty.

i wish i could start making good plans with it but considering brazilian government declined 11 ELEVEN and again 11 vaccine offers because of how shitty our government are, it will take a long long time for someone my age to have access to it, for now they are being applied for people 64yo or older if i'm not mistaken x.x
So this added to the fact we are in our worst moment of the pandemic, i'm just trying to keep myself with no plans so my enxiety doesnt kick in, i've faced some breakdown moments since it started because of how bad the government is dealing with things here.
My only plan is dreaming i can get it as soon as possible xD i'm so happy to see other countries with such a high vaccine applied rate, this brings me hope someday life will be a bit better again!
