Welcome to cK! I used to have only “cheap” painted pets because I couldn’t afford anything because I sucked so bad at games or RS, but now we have a lot of ways for making NPs and I’ve been able to paint a lot of my childhood dream pets, and I’m sure you’ll be able to do so too

gonna try to achieve my younger self dream of painting it maractite, eventide or dimensional just had a thing for blue when i was younger

Those are all such great colours! i was gone on hiatus when they released all of them, but I admit to wanting an eventide pet now... just don't know which pet to paint!
