    Fave retro/older OST?

Applies to anything 2001 or earlier (Let's keep a nice even 20 year window on this one eh?) This can apply to games, movies, shows, whatever you want.
However I personally will probably mostly stick to games.
You can post one song, or the whole OST.

For me personally I'll listen to anything. I love older OSTs.

But my personal top two? Easily these. SC-55 specifically ofc.

I really love old scores so it's hard for me to narrow it down. Loyalty wants me to say my favorite old game soundtrack is Sonic 2 but in my bones I know the truth: It's Streets of Rage 2 or it's Rondo of Blood. I have them both on vinyl and they're two of the most listened to albums I own.

It's even harder narrowing down favorite movie OSTs. There's a lot I really love. Off the top of my head, Risky Business (I love Tangerine Dream), Cat People 1982 (I also love Giorgio Moroder), and Conan the Barbarian

Ah man, sonic 2. All of the old sonics are a banger (I'm partial to the PC port's MIDIs for 2 and 3, but the actual sega versions are great too.)

I love Cowboy Bebop's OST. It's seriously amazing, easily one of the best things of that incredible show

Giving this one a listen, and I like it so far

Where do I even begin to start? I am not a gamer outside of Neopets, so I am sticking with movies here. First I thought of the epic Gladiator soundtrack. Another favorite is the "Hold On" song from the Broadway version of Secret Garden in the early 90's. And then, the there's the entire Aladdin soundtrack. After some more movie release date checking, Hedwig's Theme first graced out ears in 2001 too. I wonder if there will be 20 year anniversary things this year? I almost forgot Prince of Egypt came out in this timeframe as well.

Bonus: Palladio: Allegretto by Karl Jenkins. It was apparently used for diamond commercials that I never saw.

None of these are retro persay, but they are a real treat for the ears and heart.

Holy crap you posted a lot of my personal faves here too. If it's from the 80's and 90's eras, I automatically want to listen to it ngl. Even a lot of 70's stuff slaps.

Oooo I like your choices! I know a lot of these and already love them. I'm going to jump on the movie train with you and post one of my top faves. I absolutely love the fact that David Bowie actually wrote the songs himself. They're so much more authentic and a real piece of his history.

I've always had a soft spot for the Super Bomberman series. Unfortunately, the individual tracks seem to have been privated on YouTube but I found an extension of one of my favorites! I really love the fun, bouncy tune.

That's an extremely solid OST. Bomberman music is underrated imo.
