What do you anticipate will happen with pet trading?

I would be perfectly happy if created UC pets were untradeable, but I have a feeling in order to create one we may have to shell out $$$. Also, maybe an indicator somewhere that the UC was created with the new item? I don't go in the Pound Chat or anything (nor know much about pet trading in general) so I assume UCs are also a status symbol. So, pets that are "true" UCs that are marked as well can be traded around as they're older/can be traded/etc. compared to created ones which cannot be traded. I just like the art of them.

This might be an unpopular opinion but I don't mind shelling out money for UCs as I already buy them all anyway!

I can definitely see the PC exploding with outrage, I think there's a form of elitism that some of the PC users have (not all!) when it comes to UCs. The whole point of making UCs available is so that everyone finally gets access to them, people have been asking for years lol. I saw quiet a few users wanting it to be tedious and difficult to attain UCs for others, which sorta defeats the point lmao, or have some kinda trophy/badge to show that the ones that can be made aren't OG, which tbh would create issues with trading as people would only seek the preconverted UC's - which doesn't fix the issue with trading at all xD

Its the PC elite youre refering to that mass report and want other UCs to go extinct lol.

I'm one of those people who spammed their ass off for years trading for low to high tiered pets. And idc if TNT makes them creatable. I still worked hard and achieved a goal I set out to achieve that was hard to reach at one point in the game. And to be honest, there are a lot of UCs I still want. But I don't want to trade anymore lol.

That being said, I don't think they will really do it. I don't have a whole lot of trust in anything TNT says anymore so I guess we will just have to wait and see.

As much as I find trading boring, I hope they don't do what they did with Krawks/Draiks with the shore and ruin UC trading for good as the PC is one of the few boards on the site that's still moderately active and I'd hate to see it die even further.

The funny part that no one has mentioned is that TNT in the past have stated they plan to make names changeable like other sites. So RW/RN will be even more so useless if that plan came to fruition. If anyone has the proof of this feel free to add I know for a fact it’s been stated. I believe when they do bring back UC’s that they should be hard to obtain. A paintbrush that is only won through a daily including needing the use of a semi expensive ($10-20 worth or so) NC item. But most definitely be adoptable/tradeable because that’s what made the site have even more fun and value to it. Some decide they didn’t want the pet in the first place after obtaining and that’s cool. Trade it for something you might like more. No harm no foul.

they should just let us have whatever pet and pet name we want at this point lmao. trading pets on neopets shouldn't give people anxiety. maybe then can they focus on other parts of the site rather than dealing with pet reversals and make it fun again

i was around when the conversion happened. a lot of the old artwork pets were ruined when it happened and a lot of people were not happy with what they got after the conversion. i didn't care much because i didn't even have painted pets back then let alone my dream pets.
Now after more than 10 years i hear that the old artwork pets may be back and i might be able to get the pets i was dreaming of, back then, the way they used to be. i couldn't be happier as i couldn't be bothered with the pound chat board and i thought i would never be able to get my hands on an uc pet anyway. To tell you the truth these news is the only thing that is keeping me on neopets right now because i think the site is a lost cause after the beta mobile mode thing going the way it goes...
