I feel like it's just because people don't know that the true light is in the dark mode.

Like if dark mode was the default and you had to opt-out, how many people would actually switch?

probably only people with certain vision/processing problems, i'd wager! those people are totally valid :D

everyone else who willingly uses light mode is Not To Be Trusted, however >:O

TBH, I've never changed the style before until I saw this post and WOW, some of the userbars and username effects look so much better on dark themes.
I've converted to the dark side.

For some reason, it feels less strenuous for my eyes?

I really like the black stealth but I have issues viewing white text on a dark background (I end up seeing a glow around the text, sometimes even ghosting) so I can't use it
