Wow! This thread has made me go down a serious rabbit hole of fish tanks and live streams of watching fish do their thing. Thank you all for the good content here.

Spaceygirl - that tank is looking awesome!

I set up my first two tanks at the same time about a month ago which ended in disaster with the larger one leaking about 50L (thankfully not the entire volume though) on my floor after I had completely scaped and planted it- this led to me having to remove the entire scape and plop all the plants into the smaller of the two as a 'holding tank' of sorts.. So my current setup is less than ideal and I have been learning ALOT in the process. My poor anubias and crypts are stuck in their nursery pots until I figure out a new tank situation! For now it houses four lil cherry barbs who are surprisingly well adjusted and quite happy for me to be around them which is cool
My next tank will likely be a huge 130 or my 40 cube which I already plan to keep two lil sparkling gouramis in! I love that species so much!!
Oh and the jar next to it is an attempt at a giant sea monkey house complete with huge chunks of quartz and a cheeky big java fern who may not survive the salinity, but we will see!
