I learned HTML coding skills and I learned a lot on Photoshop by editing things for lookups and shops! I also believe I learned how to take screen shots when i was a child from neo

As most people mentioned, I too learnt basic HTML/CSS from Neopets, though mostly through SunnyNeo's HTML guide which I still reference from time to time!
It taught me roleplaying and character creation, getting my start on the RP boards back when they were still active.
And just a lot of basic skills like reading, writing, etc. that you learn as a kid! My parents decided to let me skip preschool because I spent so much time playing educational games on the computer, Neopets included.
How to be buddy buddy with a group of strangers very quickly. For a socially challenged person irl Neopets was the perfect training field on striking up conversations with random people and keeping the conversation going and trying out different personas/personalities. I'm still not that extroverted person at parties who is at the center of attention, and never will be, but I still find myself using tactics from getting people to like me through engaged conversation on gifting and lending boards when there's a lull in the conversation irl.
And I've absolutely put "Basic Knowledge of HTML and CSS" on my CV.
From playing Neopets legitimately, I learned how to read guides and teach myself. I followed tutorials to complete the Altador Constellation plot, defeat the Space Faerie, succeed in Plushie Tycoon, and obtain many other avatars/trophies. I also followed guides to make myself userlookups, gallery/shop layouts, and graphics. There are many times when I have needed to google tutorials and self-teach myself in real life, and I'm glad I started doing it on Neopets at a young age. For flash game avatars and Daily Dare/GMC, I would watch videos by Bart and others for smart strategies, and that has taught me to look for smart ways of completing any task.
Neopets has made me less naive, for sure. I remember being scammed as a kid and that was the first time I learned "if something is too good to be true, it probably is." As an adult, I've also been ripped off while NC Trading by people who seemed nice (but actually weren't) because I didn't know the real value of my item. My experience with being an NCCer and also seeing the ridiculous stuff PCers do on the (you need an account to see links) (saying a pet is their "dreamie" to get a pity trade and then re-trading the pet a week later, backing out of a trade after offering, ghosting shuffles, etc.) has taught me to not expect too much of people and you can't assume everyone is well intentioned. In real life, I've seen people pull similar shenanigans on my parents when they try to sell their used cars, properties, and smaller items. Neopets is a microcosm of the real world except the scammers and greedy people in the real world can be sooo much worse.

I guess for me Neopets taught me how to be a very fast typer on the keyboard and not have to look at my hands as I type. I was always so excited about that. haha!
I am a little obsessed with a certain yellow sponge.
omg I clicked on this 100% ready to give the same exact example you did!! glad Neo helped us get our jabs ^^
