I've been lurking the site for a little bit, but first time posting. I've been thinking this might be more my kind of place than the neoboards. It would be nice to be in a less stressful/cliquey atmosphere where I can play the way I'd like, free of judgmental/jealous players. Been on and of neo since I was a kid, early 00s. I do a lot of PC lurking, a small amount of wearable collecting (not hugely into NC, but I love backgrounds), and a lot of random item hoarding. I'm trying to learn a bit of digital art, it's been a long time since I was into drawing and find neopets a decent place for inspiration

Any advice for a newbie approaching the marketplace? I have read the guides and stuff, but not sure how to start building feedback. Do most users generally start by making purchases before others are comfortable doing pet trades with them on-site?

Aw, thanks! I'll definitely be hitting the art forum once I have something I feel like putting out there. I think it's cool that this is a safe space for commission work, it feels like a huge missed opportunity on Neopets official boards not allowing any form of art exchange for goods.

We have a lot of commentary throughout the rules emphasizing things to look out for, so I won't bore you with reiterating those details. Essentially, if you're not here to put one over on anybody, then you'll do fine in our marketplace! Our buyers, sellers and traders are some of the friendliest and most upright that you can deal with on the internet, so just listen to what they tell you when they instruct you on how to make the trade go smoothly and you'll be a-okay!
