Hey clraik, help a guy out?

I have a red Aisha.
I want to use the premium perk to turn it into a Chocolate Xweetok.
Do I first change the Aisha to a color Xweetoks cannot be (Burlap, Disco, etc.), then prem perk it to Xweetok and it will ask me to choose a different color for the new Xweetok?

Yep! That's how it works, @(you need an account to see links). If you're attempting to change your pet's species, and its current color is incompatible, then you will be allowed to change to a compatible color along with the species. The option for color is enabled after the initial selection.

I've also heard you can get the perk by just purchasing one (1) month of premium and then cancelling? Just you can only do that once per year, of course. Is that accurate?

That's right! Once every 365 days from the point of prior use, and no takesies-backsies if you only buy a month of premium.
