- rp/when rp boards were in their prime, especially dragon or mutant rps
- being on the boards when new plots were out and banding together to solve puzzles
- triumph of someone figuring out how to get an avatar
- reading the Neopian Times religiously every week
- FUCKING KEYQUEST

Just thought of this one, but the plot board threads. OLDPD (I know they still exist on Site Events but there are no plots now lol) with all the guides/updates for Tale of Woe and Altador. Also how fast the boards would move and then the last page would have a link to the new board. I was just reminded of this while looking at the reversal boards on the PC.

I absolutely dream of the days of being frustrated by people quitting right before you hopped on through the KQ door for your gold key. We had it so good

Also of course habi!! Functioning, competitive, active guilds. Having legit friends that I really wish I could find again! Maybe if I knew my MSN password haha. Neocam was great. Reading short stories in the neopian times every week!

Keyquest, Habi and most definitely pets before the conversion. Back before you could trade and we all came up with character ideas to get that beautiful painted pet. I didn’t have the time to play games and I didn’t know restocking at the time so I used my love of chatting to apply for pets. It was fun and good times! I remember the excitement of the quick adopt.

Cheating with my online bff and pound surfing. I used to get palpitations over a bn baby kougra it was wild. Also I was heavy into art and would draw my neopets as anime pretty boys.

Edit: I forgot to mention habi I enjoyed that a little too much, making 100k from leaving my computer overnight, then waking up and its laggy af but i got all these gems on my screen. It was a great start to every day.

I miss 2002-2003 neopets when Adam/Donna were super invested in improving the site. War plots with unique prizes, when multiple avatars were being released every week, items constantly being released and retired. MSN messenger, AIM, mIRC chatrooms filled with a tonne of NP users. When people didnt care about VWN/RN pet names. Learning HTML/CSS by studying psxfaq and hynfaeries lookups. When the game was extremely active and every area of Neopets was full of activity.

honestly boingdragon counters were the greatest thing and it breaks my heart that while the site is still accessible and everything I don't believe you can successfully create any new counters

also yes fuck my shop used to have ROWS of those fucking dolls all wearing bell bottom jeans and and tight shirts that said 'baby' and 'angel' jsakldfjklsa

oh my yes i loved those counters, they were the best.

i remember the excitement i had like on the day the pound opened...good times, good times. legit was on dialup internet pound surfing haha and trying to pound transfer on dialup lol

i loved the days when i used to remember like every petpage guide for like whatever people needed haha
