Brand new to CK

Hey all! I�m an unskilled neopets player and newcomer to CK. I was always most interested in coding and art on neo, so I�ve never been very successful in other aspects, haha.

Been back actively for several years now, but only recently stumbled onto the community here. I�m a little shy to be here but y�all are pretty cool so far! I�m particularly excited to get more involved here because of the recent site update and all the awfulness that�s ensued.

Hey, welcome! My interests in Neo have always been art and character development so I've never been a powerhouse player as far as neopoints and gallery collections go myself lol. CK is a lot of fun if you enjoy art. I joined last fall and there's been several creative contests/events hosted here that have been a great time.

Super cool that you are involved with the art/coding community! There's lots of art/creative events on the forum, so I really hope that you'll join us in those activities here as well ^-^

Great White North, thanks so much! Haha I don�t know so much about skills, I�ve never coded a script/program, only lookups and pet pages and such! Though a friend of mine created a program to scan pet names to search for UCs stuck in the pound, it would be cool to try and learn to make something like that!

There's a week left for the current event if you're interested to join something already ongoing cK is having a contest right now to design a new Ryu background. Details are over (you need an account to see links), but in a nutshell, it's designing a new 8 bit pixel background for the forum Ryugotchis, which are the interactive cK Tamagotchis you see a lot of members having among their forum userbars.
