I read the pixel art guide before going to sleep and dreamed that I was drawing a couple of scenes for this contest. I will have to participate before have other symptoms lol

Everyone says these are your first pixel art drawings and they are all WONDERFUL scenes. So I'm not going to believe you

Amazing contest idea. I haven't dabbled in pixel art and then I browsed the entries so far and I gotta say, I am very intimated and probably won't dabble in pixel art anytime soon. All your different ideas, and entries are just amazing!

Ahh thank you so much! :') I've really liked all the diverse entries so far (there's been little colour palette overlap, even!), and I could see myself using a lot of them.

I'm so impressed by everyone's entries that it's gotten me so excited to try my own omg. I had one question regarding 8 bit colors I was hoping someone more experienced than myself wouldn't mind helping me with? What makes something 8 bit specifically rather than other kinds of pixel art, does it mean there's a limited amount of colors being used? The Pixel Art tutorial Fabulous linked is great and has given me some ideas I'm looking forward to trying but it's the "8 bit" qualification specifically I'm uncertain about.
