I'm surprised there isn't a thread for this yet.

If you haven't watched it, I binged it all day yesterday lmao. Took 8 hours. But I really got into it.

If you've watched other ShondaLand shows such as How to Get Away with Murder or Grey's Anatomy, you'll like this.

Each episode leaves you wanting to watch the next one with some cliffhanger.

No spoilers of course w/out spoiler tags <3

Julie Andrews narrates in this modern day reimagined royalty 1800's romance drama.

GENERAL REVIEW: (SPOILERS BELOW AT YOUR OWN RISK)

PS. Keep an eye out for the bee's in the show. They're little easter eggs in the show and I had to rewatch episodes to see them / notice them lol.

Hasn't been confirmed yet for S2 but most likely will be.... Supposedly S2 could focus on another family member.

I too watched this in one sitting. I did enjoy the costumes. I had read all the Bridgerton books years ago when they came out. Yes you can die from a bee sting. Anaphylactic shock. This featured in a book "Snow Flower and the Secret Fan"

There are EIGHT Bridgeton children, so I really hope that the following seasons follow more of the others' zany Victorian adventures!

I too binged the ENTIRE THING in one sitting, all while exclaiming things like, "Wow, I can't believe that this is we're are teaching young women in 2020!" and "I'm not sure about the toxicity of this relationship???" and "That opera singer is HOT af."

Overall, a fun, stupid enjoyable watch. I loved the modern twist on the music and the sets/costuming were to die for, and I greatly enjoyed seeing a period piece that fed me many hot people doing things like removing gloves sensually and boxing and talking about embroidery.

Oh my goodness, I am not one for period dramas/anything to do with royalty in the slightest but I absolutely loved this!
    The costumes are amazing!

Also I noticed the bees but I didn't understand why they were in the episodes? Haha

P.S Yes Koto that singer is gorgeous!

I haven't watched this yet but intend to.

But to answer your question, Chadwick Boseman was not in this series. Looks like the gentleman you are mixing him up with is a British actor named Reg-Jean Page, so they can proceed full steam ahead -- at least in that regard.

I loved the series too! I watched it over 3 days because I was watching it with my partner, who can only handle sitting down to watch so much TV in a day xD
I love period dramas and I really liked the fresh take on this one
