If you can manage to make Flash work in one way or another, you can still customize that way, but there are converted pets, items, etc. that are broken. It is not targeted toward UCs.

does the beta load suuuper slowly for anyone else, yet the "old" site loads fine? so weird.
I am a bit worried they may convert uc pets. But surely they would have done so before accommodating the beta to fit with them.
Notice some of the sale sites are no longer using PayPal. And has tnt not noticed the influx of uc pets on the pc? Even last year I remember if certain ucs came out the pc would jump all over you. I guess when the pound gets an update we'll see. Not trying to cause mass hysteria. Just wouldn't surprise me if they close this chapter now
I... hope and doubt they would. The lack of monitoring of UCs probably comes from not having enough resources to dedicate to both administrative (site monitoring etc) and conversion workstreams.
Converting UCs would definitely lead to a large % of the active userbase quitting - with so many site functions now defunct trading seems to be the only thing keeping the site alive. Taking away extreme pet goals (UCs) on a pet site wouldn't be very smart...
TNT hasn't exactly made the site Customisation friendly.
You can't really see the pets you've dressed up so converting UCs now would probably be the nail in the coffin.
If they wanted to get rid of UCs and the blackmarket for UCs, they would just make it so you could toggle between converted and UC as you pleased.
What if thats what they want though? They don't have the resources for the current user base. They seem so focused on brand other than usability for the site. Might not mind killing us off.
But I guess that would be contradictory. When people who don't actively play and they hear about neopets they imagine that old art style. Tnt banks on that nostalgia for merch sales for non active players.
In this moment I cant imagine tnt implementing anything period. Updates have been too slow
I will give them this, it was pleasantly surprising today to see linked right on the landing page a badge for the Neopies. I hope this is something they plan to do for all future events as well instead of us having to either bookmark them or sort through new features for it. Finally something on the beta layout that is practical and useful!

Didn't notice that to be honest. Agree though, pretty useful. It was so annoying when you had to go fishing for links for events.
