How did you choose your Clraik Username?

Since a lot of us have fun usernames, I was wondering what the thoughts were behind people's names here, especially because you have to come up with something new!

So, without being too revealing (feel free to leave out anything suuuuper detailed that might connect you to your normal online alias), how did you come up with your Clraik name?



I'll go first! I love Digimon, but its not one of my "main" fandoms, so I figured it it would be a good pick. And Guilmon is one of my faves, so naturally I went with him! I love the fact that they explore the "virus" archetypes of Digimon all not being bad with him. Fun fact though, I haven't watched Guilmon's season in SO long, I'm due to watch it again soon!

Edgy On Purpose is the name of the store that is obviously supposed to be a spoof of Hot Topic in Gravity Falls.

it was my getdare username since i was like 15 and back then i wanted something completely random and anonymous and whats more random than a fork

This might sound really weird but I used to associate cheating on neopets with mental health things I was struggling with (basically the concept that it's okay that I can't do everything on my own), so I chose a username similar to ones I had used in communities about that, but I won't get into the exact meaning.

Then when I came back I wanted something new and originally I wanted another word that started with "cat" like cataclysm or category or caterpillar, but nothing felt right, so I decided to find something that started with "kitty" instead.

[Nightingale]

Mine is a spiritual epithet my best friend gave me. Beyond that... the nightingale sings during both daytime and night. Many regard them as ~poetique~, but I regard them as symbols of spiteful continuation during difficult times.

[Jumbo Shrimp]

I wasn’t sure about signing up fully so my original username was idkwhatimdoing, which I promptly changed to Jumbo Shrimp after I hit cK rank. I’ve always thought oxymorons were cool so that’s where my username comes into play! I had a teacher in elementary school whose name was Joy Meany and she was the nicest woman ever so that probably played into it as well!

I played pokemon yellow so many times I started trying to do a run with only one pokemon. After defeating Brook I caught a Clefairy in the cave and finished the game only with it, I never evolved it since smol is power.

After that I changed my league user to Clefairy too so here I am because I'm lazy.

[Lucid Acid Dream]

I went off my favorite Pok�mon move after my original account name was lets just say terrible.

[Sephora]

I have always loved makeup, but I couldn't afford high quality makeup when I was younger so I went to Sephora stores to put on their free samples and this always brightened my day. For this reason, Sephora cosmetic stores are one of my favorite places in the world. Now that I have a good job, I spend more than $1000 USD at Sephora annually.

I'm actually not secretive at all and that's the username I use in most online spaces.
It's actually the other way around for me - if you'll find my neo accounts it'll be hard to connect them to me. Also aside from that I'd say that there are no real life implications at all for me to be found on clraik; probably due to where I'm from.
